Preparation
Before use, don't rush to power it on! First, give the vacuum pump a "health check": Verify that the power cord is intact and that all connections are secure. Confirm that the operating environment is well-ventilated, avoiding areas with high temperatures or excessive humidity. If you are using a new pump, remember to check the oil level first (skip this step for dry pumps); insufficient oil will compromise pumping efficiency. Finally, put on your safety goggles and gloves-safe operation is always the top priority.
Oil Level Check: Look through the observation window to confirm that the oil level falls between the minimum and maximum marks.
Environmental Requirements: Keep the pump away from flammable materials and ensure a clearance of at least 50 cm on all sides to allow for proper heat dissipation.
Accessory Preparation: Depending on your specific needs, prepare necessary connecting components such as silicone tubing, vacuum tanks, etc.
Operating Procedure
Connect Equipment: Use silicone tubing to create a tight, leak-free connection between the vacuum pump's inlet port and your experimental vessel or device.
Start-up & Warm-up: After connecting the power supply, run the pump at a low speed for 2 minutes to allow the pump body to warm up and reach a uniform temperature.
Pressure Adjustment: Gradually increase the pumping speed using the control knob while observing the vacuum gauge needle to ensure it drops steadily.
Shutdown Procedure: First, close the valve on the equipment side; then, allow the pump to continue running for another minute to purge any residual gases before finally cutting off the power supply.
Pumping Speed: For standard laboratory experiments, a vacuum level of -0.08 MPa can typically be reached within 3 minutes.
Continuous Operation: It is recommended to allow the pump to rest for 20 minutes after every 4 hours of continuous operation.
Troubleshooting (Immediate Action): If you notice excessive oil mist or hear any unusual noises, stop the pump immediately and inspect it.
Maintenance & Care
After each use, remember the "Three-Step Maintenance Method":
Clean the Casing: Wipe down the exterior surface with a dry cloth to remove any oil residue.
Replace Filter Element: Replace the air inlet filter screen every 50 hours of operation.
Regular Oil Change: Change the vacuum pump oil every 200 hours (change immediately if the oil appears dark or discolored).
Storage Tips: If the pump will not be used for an extended period, drain the oil from the pump body and store it in a dry environment.
Winter Protection: If the ambient temperature drops below 5°C, switch to a low-temperature-resistant (anti-freeze) vacuum pump oil.
General Troubleshooting: If the pump fails to start, first check the fuse; if pumping efficiency is low, prioritize checking for leaks in the connections.
