It exhibits a high pumping speed over a relatively wide pressure range;

The rotors possess excellent geometric symmetry, resulting in minimal vibration and smooth operation. Clearances are maintained between the rotors, as well as between the rotors and the casing; consequently, no lubrication is required, and frictional losses are minimal. This significantly reduces the power required for driving the pump, thereby enabling operation at higher rotational speeds;

The pump chamber requires no oil for sealing or lubrication, which helps minimize contamination of the vacuum system by oil vapors;

There is no internal gas compression within the pump chamber, and no exhaust valves are present. The structure is simple and compact, rendering the pump insensitive to dust and water vapor present in the gas being evacuated;

The compression ratio is relatively low, resulting in poor pumping efficiency for hydrogen gas;

The rotor surfaces feature complex curved cylindrical profiles, making their machining and inspection relatively difficult.
